Everyone loves a good birthday! That special day when they are lavished with birthday cards, presents and loads of money, plus a whole load of attention on that one special day.

In fact if you are not been bombarded with personalised cards and gifts, it surely can’t be worse than these movie birthdays!

Charlie in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)

We’re sorry but how excited would you be to receive a chocolate bar for your birthday? Yes we understand that there was the whole golden ticket and the family had teamed together to get the money for the chocolate bar, but still they could’ve got him a toy or something. The worst part is when Charlie for a moment thinks he has the ticket and all the family get excited, to find that there is nothing inside. Too emotional!

Cathy’s 11th birthday in The Birds (1963)

So many things can go wrong at a birthday party but it can’t get any worse than a flock of maniac birds descending upon your town, attacking your friends and pecking your neighbours to death.

Martin’s 7th birthday in A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)

It was a tough ride that little Martin contracted a rare disease and had to be cryogenically frozen until a treatment was found, but what is worse his robo replacement David, who stuck around after Martin was cured and had been returned home. However on his birthday he was tackled by his cyborg brother knocked into a pool and almost drowned. What a lovely treat!

Not the greatest of birthday treats but definitely worth a watch. Try and be a good friend this year and send a personalised card to your friends with ecards.co.uk.
